Dandelion Turtle

In memory of a childhood turtle, named “Dandelion,” since this was the first food I offered it.  He (she?) may have been a box turtle, I can’t really be sure.  It lived in our backyard for years, feeding off veggie garden morsels and flowers until one year, it mysteriously vanished.  Here resurrected in needle-felted wool, for my own amusement.  Having kept the best photos, I’ll relinquish this (nearly complete) turtle to whichever customer ~ at Black Sheep Gathering, 2018 ~ finds it as enchanting as I did my real turtle.
